About ToxicTrailers.com

ToxicTrailers.com was launched after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 when the government spent more than $2 billion on FEMA trailers with high levels of formaldehyde that sickened thousands of people. The FEMA trailer tragedy exposed what is a widespread problem in RVs, mobile homes, modular buildings and even conventional buildings that use pressed wood products. Unfortunately, as we approach the tenth anniversary of Katrina, formaldehyde regulations are not being enforced in the U.S., and people's health is at risk. If you are having burning eyes, congestion, sore throat, coughing, breathing difficulties, frequent sinus infections or rashes, and difficulties concentrating, you may have a formaldehyde problem. American Cancer Society engages in "cancer chemical cover-up"

Excellent article in Natural News (http://www.naturalnews.com/028765_environmental_chemicals_cancer.html) says: The American Cancer Society, not surprisingly, was quick to bash the report (from the President's Cancer Panel). The ACS is one of the sick-care cancer industry front groups that reinforces consumer ignorance about both the causes and the solutions for cancer. The ACS has, for decades, engaged in what can only be called a "cancer chemical cover-up" with its denials that environmental chemicals cause cancer."

The American Cancer Society was not just unhelpful with a push to get EPA to adopt the California Air Resources Board (CARB) formaldehyde standards, but openly hostile to volunteers who tried to get the ACS on board. The ACS "expert" claimed there is little evidence that formaldehyde causes cancer.
